We will miss Dr. Harry “Doc” Krueger, who passed away Monday at the ripe old age of ninety. Doc was a huge force in jazz and music education in the upper Midwest and was a professor emeritus at Augustana. Doc was also the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society’s very first Lifetime Achievement Award recipient in 2002. Right now, we’d like to think Doc is listening to Maynard Ferguson, Clark Terry and Louis Armstrong jam in the heavens. Thanks for being a good friend to Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues!
