Jazzfest 2010: July 15–17, 2010

Individuals who lost items at the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Festival – JazzFest, should call Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues at 605-335-6101 to report missing belongings.

Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues held their second annual 5K run and 1 mile fun walk this morning as part of the JazzFest 20th Celebration activities at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, SD.

The JazzFest 5K race began at 8am with nearly 200 runners at the starting line.

With the help of the Sioux Falls Area Running Club who provided timing services, winners were announced and medals were awarded to the best time in each of the following categories:

• Overall Best Time (Men’s): Connor Branick, 20:01
• Overall Best Time (Women’s): Robbin Klosterman, 21:53
• 19-under (Men’s): Brendan Branick, 22:06
• 19-under (Women’s): Alexis Soldatke, 32:05
• 20-29 (Men’s): Blake Huber, 21:07
• 20-29 (Women’s): Kayla Bright, 25:09
• 30-39 (Men’s): Devon Alexander, 22:07
• 30-39 (Women’s): Jennie Johnson, 25:11
• 40-49 (Men’s): Erik Froiland, 25:07
• 40-49 (Women’s): Michelle Thomas, 24:24
• 50+ (Men’s): Ken Rothenbuehler, 25:32

A full list of times will be posted at jazzfestsiouxfalls.com next week. The 2012 JazzFest Run and Fun Walk will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Yankton Trail Park.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Education Fund.

5K winners will be announced on the JazzFest main stage tonight around 6pm.

The 2nd Annual JazzFest 5K Run and Fun Walk is tomorrow morning at 8am at Yankton Trail Park! All entrants should enter through Minnesota Avenue. There is no fee to park for the race.

Timing services will be provided by Sioux Falls Area Running Club. Each participant will be given a race number at packet pickup. Packet pick up starts at 7:00 a.m. at Yankton Trail Park on race day.

You can register at the park tomorrow starting at 7am!
(Runners registering after July 1st are not guaranteed a t-shirt.)

The course for the run will be contained within Yankton Trail Park. The walking course will take place primarily on the bike trail. 5K run: $25. 1 mi. walk: $25. Group run or walk: $60 (up to four in a group).

Medals will be awarded for the following categories:

• m/w 19 and under

• m/w 20-30

• m/w 31-40

• m/w 41-50

• m/w 51+

• Best Overall Time

Awards and refreshments immediately following race. Music starts at Noon on both JazzFest stages!
