Midcontinent Communications Presents: Joe Walsh THIS Saturday at JazzFest 2012

In 21 years, JazzFest has never seen a headliner quite as big as Eagles front-man, Joe Walsh. This incredible performer wouldn’t be headlining without the generous contribution made by long-time JazzFest sponsor - Midcontinent Communications.

Joe Walsh will close out JazzFest on Saturday, July 28th at 10 p.m. Walsh is on the road promoting his new album, Analog Man, which was released June 5.

Walsh is busier than ever in 2012. Here are some highlights:

• Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, and Joe Walsh Jam on Beatles ‘Abbey Road’ Medley at the 54th Annual Grammys on February 12.

• Walsh was featured on the cover of the May 2012 Guitar World Magazine.

• Walsh’s first solo record in 20 years, “Analog Man” is released on June 5.

• Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and country superstar Braid Paisley recently honored Walsh on the June 23 episode of CMT’s “Crossroads”.

Organized by Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues and a committee of over 60, JazzFest is a free three-day festival held annually in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The days are filled with music, food and city pride. This year’s event will be held July 26th through July 28th at Yankton Trail Park.

JazzFest is one of the largest free concerts in the United States attracting almost 85,000 people each year from all over the Midwest. It is considered one of the major events Sioux Falls has to offer. Over 800 volunteers assist with JazzFest along with the support of various city departments and other community businesses.
